Getting Ready for Jamaica!!

Greetings everyone! We are starting to get ready for the annual trip to Jamaica and hope that all of you will be able to join us the first two weeks of November.  We are going to be visiting Accompong Primary and Junior High again this year.  This is also where we will be building the Mystic Bowie Cultural Center Library of Accompong.  Please keep an eye out for blog posts, we will be updating more and more the closer we get to November!!

The Mystic Bowie Cultural Center (MBCC), founded by

international Reggae artist Mystic Bowie, is dedicated to enriching the lives of the children of Jamaica. Their Multi-Cultural programs are designed to unlock the potential of the children through Arts, Music, Drama, and Sports. Their mission is to use these as a springboard to help each child improve the skills needed for success in life.  MBCC is going to be building its first library, breaking ground in January, in the sovereign nation of Accompong.

Cloud Star has been producing all natural pet products since 1999.  The company got its start when co-founders, Jennifer Melton and Brennan Johnson, adopted their dog Samantha. She was a picky eater, and because they could not find a commercially available treat to satisfy her finicky palate and yield to her allergies, they ended up baking their own. Donations Rolling In...

Today Mystic Bowie packed another barrel to ship to Jamaica.  It was filled with clothing and cd's from VP Records/Riddim Driven Clothing, children's clothing, books, games, and musical instruments donated by Acorn Toy Shop in Brooklyn NY, a computer donated from the Campbell family, and lots of children's books from the Harold family. The children of Jamaica are very lucky to have such good people willing to support them and their education!
